All I can say is thanks to ta0sum & Eric Sparrow for posting the DIY. After looking at their before and after results I was not too happy with the way mine looked so I bought the needed supplies and did mine. I decided to remove the lights instead of doing it on the car. It only took a few min to get them out and much easier to sand and polish. I am very happy with the results and the cost of this DIY. Here are some before and after shots.

Nice Job! Thinking about doing mine too. What you put on it for the UV protection?

I am planning to put the 3m clear plastic on mine. Its easier to replace that stuff after a few years than sanding them down again. Then again by the time they are due again the car will be someone else's.

Sounds like a good plan.

I just did this too using the 3M kit. Works great. My first attempt was so-so, but my second turned out great! You just need a lot of patience, and I recommend using hand-power versus the drill, only so you can uniformly sand the entire light, including the edges and whatnot.
