halogen pre lci to xenon dynamic headlights help
Hi guys got a friend who brought some xenon dynamic headlights for his car he tried to plug them straight in and think he has blew a bulb or two by trying on the new headlights
i cant seem to find a pre lci halogen to pre lci xenon dynamic conversion thread
can any one who has done this please shed some light
does he need to rewire the wiring on the car side to new lights
also does he a specific lm for the new lights or will his old one be fine?
are these easier to fit or hard to wire thanks

It depends on a few things.
1) is his car LCI or pre-LCI?
2) Are the lights LCI or pre-LCI?
I am not sure but i believe the LM1 should be the same on the pre-LCI regardless if it has halogen or bi-xenon. It's just software that is different. I could be wrong about this, but I am pretty sure that's what it is. As far as the wiring, there may be additional wiring needed since there are additional features. I am assuming the plugs are not going to be the same. Not just a simple swap.
As far as lights not working, don't always think it is physical. Remember, coding can shut lights on/off to where they appear to not work.

Car is pre lci buddy and lights are pre lci xenon dynamic
The plugs are the same for the lights from the halogen lights
I guess the wiring and coding may be a big part i think he just wants the xenons to work think he not fussed about the dynamic function
Im sure one has done it or know hows to do the conversiom theres loads of pre lci to lci xenon threads
