Finally installed my black grills today. Followed all the DIY guides, which were extremely helpful. Unfortunately, being a short guy with short arms, I had trouble reaching the side and bottom clips even after removing the fog light grill, so I did end up scraping a few knuckles. Well worth it in the end, though!

I liked the stock chrome grills since they matched the headlights pretty well, but I think the black grills accentuate the blue, making Monaco Blue appear more blue and less black.

They also match the shadowline trim better, or so I like to think!

Installed OEM Chrome Grille.
Tried following the instruction...top 3 clips came off fine, but the rest just won't come out!!!!!
After 15 minutes of frustration, I find my right thumb covered in blood and greasy dust.
I bitched at the E60 members who easily removed their clips.
I ended up breaking the old grille.

My recommendation:
If your clips won't come off, just break the damn old grille and you can simply snap in the new grille.
Job done in less than 5 minutes!!!!
