Hi-I need to swap my front Kidney grilles over for carbon ones and wonder if anyone can tell me how to do this without breaking the tabs on the existing ones ?

Regards

for me, it was a pain removing the grille. I broke all the tabs I install the new ones and then I put the old ones in the trash LoL

Just wanted to say that I used your very accurate description & photos yesterday to install the full-chrome grille on my BMW. Piece of cake with your tutorial ! Did the whole thing in under 10 minutes without breaking any of the plastic clamps. The original kidneys came out in excellent state and I will be putting them up for sale soon.

Great DIY !

I wish I checked for this before... I didn't think about taking to time to unscrew the top part... Took about an hour fidgeting cause I didn't want to rip it out and break all the tabs...

long story short, I got them out and only broke one tab! Though, wish I saw your DIY first lol, good to know if I ever wanna take them back out and paint match

finally got around to replace with matte black grill. I couldn't figure out how to remove the bottom tabs without breaking them. Thanks for the DYI... but no pics. But you instructions are still helpful. I'll try it this evening.
