I have 19" M5 rims on my 545 and last night on the way home from the airport, I get a notification that I have a flat tire and that with the run flats I can proceed at 50 mph . I check all of the tires psi this morning and air all of them up to where the manual says that should (even though none of them are really low). I want to believe everything is fine but the light is still on that says I have a flat tire. Thoughts? Process?

Thanks,
Tobey

Have you driven it since airing up the tires? If you have the FTM, I think this should clear once you drive it and it resets itself. Not sure about the TPM system...

I had the same thing happen to me, although I don't have run flats. You need to reset the tire pressure monitoring system.

Press Menu
Press controller to open the "i" menu
Select "Vehicle Settings" and press the controller
Select FTM and press the controller
Start the engine, but do not drive
Select "set tire pressure" and press the controller
Select "Yes" and press the controller
Start to drive
The initialization will continue while you drive, I think it takes about 5 minutes or so

Good luck.

You are correct, when the tyre pressures are all set ,the initialization procedure needs to be performed and it takes a few miles before iDrive tells you that it has completed. However this applies to the FTM system ,I'm not sure what the procedure is for the TPM system.
