Someone could make some good money if they buy a set of headlight assemblies, perform this mod, and sell them to customers who trade in thier stock units...
I thought of the same thing here for UK but can't seem to find a smal outfit willing to do try. I am sure lots of people would love to get the white eyebrow but just dare not do it themselves. I am one of those also. Just wish I had the skill needed and the time of course.

cheers

Right, i have just spent 3 hours taking out one side of the LED section. Iv soldered all the new ones in.. and IT AINT WORKING! None of the LED's come on, So i thought maybe if i turn them all around they might work, still no joy.. any suggestions at all? Only have a few hours of day light left and i dont want to leave it off the car

Does it matter what way round the LED's go?

Yes it does. They all have to go in the same way the old ones were. If one is different, they all won't come on. John and I had to placed the LEDs in without soldering it and tested it a couple of times. We had a power source so we didn't have to bring it the car all the time. Not sure the voltage on the power source we had. We borrowed it from Eugene.

Hope that helps. Good luck.

Right. basicly.. i think as i let my friends do the soldering they have burnt away at the board.. and basicly i think it may well be broken!

Am i able to order such a part? Or have one made up do you think? Am feeling rather anoyed and depressed at the moment

Do you have any close ups on the ICs (chips) on the right of that board I want to see what they are exactly.

I know what you mean..they need a good macro lens.

Just trying to see the markings on them, I believe the 3 pin transistor at the end is part of the voltage regulator circuit, but the others I am not sure about. Just thinking with a redesigned board could do some interesting light effects.

Anyone want to donate a headlight? hahaha
