Don't think it will be that simple, the self leveling suspension on a E61 isn't an option but its standard thus it doesnt show in the option list, so it can't be taken out either.
Alot of modules have the a code saying touring or sedan. Only how to figure out which one affects only the suspension without interfering with anything else ?

I don't think it will be 'simple' but i know it is possible. Somehow. Anything is possible with a significant amount of dedication. If he so desired he can change the entire vehicle order stating that it's an XI sedan and put all the options in that he currently has thus making all ECUs submit but there will still be a significant amount of coding that will need to be done.

Can anyone with an 06 XI sedan please provide the last 7 of your VIN and if possible your vehicle order?

But what will then happen to specific E61 related stuff like rear lights and rear window that opens, rear wiper and so on ?

Good point. I think the rear lights can easily be worked around but the window and wiper. Yea this is a little more complicated.

Because the suspension is standard on the e61. I am guessing its not going to be the same as the Mercedes system. I am wondering if some sort of resistors wired in might be able to tell the valve system that the pressures are correct, and the leveling sensors that they are also correct.

One thing I'll add is the SZL is responsible for the rear wiper. I know this because I had the SZL replaced under warranty and the dealer somehow coded it incorrectly, requiring another visit to correct the fault.
