I would appreciate some assistance with wiring. I have a UK spec M Sport Touring 535d. It has bluetooth phone and a 6 CD changer but is otherwise standard spec. I have fitted a Blaupunkt DX-V Professional satellite navigation system. This was straightforward; the CD unit goes in the cavernous space where a spare wheel would be and the display sits on the dash. All is fine, except that the unit requires two signals from the car to work properly. I need to know where I can tap in the the loom to get these signals. The first should be easy; the reversing light. This should be available for a towbar installation; it's just which wire and where? The second is more complicated; it requires the speedo pulses. Now I know that there are two speedo outputs, one which is accurate and one to feed the display which is deliberately degraded to +2mph or so. It doesn't really matter which. Ideally, of course I would like the wire to be available in the back of the estate, but it's not a great problem running one forward in the sills if meed be. Again, which wire and where, please? My dealership has made helpful sounds but not actually given me the information.

:thumbsdown: Pure silence. Not really much use, this site, is it? To answer my own question after a lot of phone calls and some specialist help you need a CAN 01 bus to tap the bus and lift the signal off it.
