Hi all,
I have a 2008 (UK model)5 series with the professional navigation. I tried to have installed an X-carlink bmw multimedia interface installed. For some reason the connecting cable from the car to the interface was slightly bigger than the pins on the interface (LCD IN on diagrame). I was assured that all E60's up to 2009 had the same connections.
Can anyone tell me if the connection lead from the car to the dash screen has been changed in the 2008 facelift model. Also if anyone who has installed a multimedia interface on the facelift model, please get in touch. Thanks

Those multimedia interface have 2 different models, pre-lci and lci. LCI cars, in your case, requires the lci multimedia interface as it requires different cable connections. You may want to contact the company you had purchased from.

Sorry to hijack the topic, but spoke to Modmynav.com....
They said i need an audio jack to have the dvd connected...hmm.
is this the case, as i thought to install, you tap it into the wire for audio anyway...?
Meaning, no need to install the audio input when you prelace it in the next step...
any thoughts?
