Hi, I got a 2004 525d. The handbrake is non exisitant at the moment. If i pull it to the top it doesnt have any effect and the car still moves.

I've opened the handbrake leather glove and the compartment below the heater in the rear center passenger area inorder to gain access to the tension cables. I was looking for a nut which I could tighten to increase the cable tension......no nuts.....im stumped now. Any one have any ideas on how to adjust the handbrake lever?
