I've searched and searched and have found great threads on door panel removal, dash panel removals, etc. but I can seem to find any info on what color(s) are the factory speaker wires for the front door speakers and the best place to tap into them inside of the cabin. My car is a '06 525xi and I need to use these wires to feed the front channel input on my aftermarket audio gear. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

The best place is to tap it front the cd unit or the rear amp. the signal going to the front speakers are not full range. you will need to summed the signal coming from the tweeter, midbass, and sub under the seats into something like the jl cleansweep to get a full range signal.

That's what I thought, thanks for the info. I plan on using a MTX REQ-5 to handle the front and rear conversion to line level, even at high-passed frequencies, since I was going to high-pass the front doors and rear deck too.
