Hi there. I have just received my Dension Gateway 500 which I plan to install into my 06 E60 535d this weekend. Looks reasonably easy, but I just want some clarification as to where I can connect the power lead. It required a 12v non-switched supply and a ground connection. Where in the area of the glovebox can I tap this in to?
Any help - even better pictures - would be really helpful!
Assuming that I get this installed easily, I will document the install with pictures to help anyone in the future

Go to Muttley's install guide HERE. It makes it really simple. I only have the use of one arm due to a hit and run accident a few years back and it only took me 20 minutes to get all the wiring done then 30 minutes to get everything positioned where I wanted it.
The power is taken by "splicing" into the existing power wires feeding the CD Changer (or, I guess, the CD changer wiring loom if you don't have the changer installed). I used THESE as recommended by Muttley. You place it over the existing wire, put the corresponding wire from the power loom of the Denison (red or black) into the other side then squeeze it shut with pliers. This slices into the two wires and creates a connection. Voila, Power!
If you need any help at all just drop me an email and I'll do my best to help.
Good luck
Marc
