E39 525i Amp Replacement Help

Hi,
Ive also posted the below request for help on the E39 board. reason for duplicating is that it might be generic as oppose to specific on the E39.
I have a 2002, 525i saloon with the BMW business stereo. That's the one with the cassette tape recorder located separately above the Stereo. There is a 6 CD multi-changer in the boot (back left).
The Amps have started to die and I need to replace them. BMW have told me that my car has 2 Amps and that each one is located in the back trim between the rear window and the back door (D post)? I understand that it's the post where the Interior lights are?
If this correct, does anyone have any helpful advice on how to get these trims off or how else to the Amps?
