yeah but if your car is under warranty, you need to go by bmw's recommendations for service, not Castrol's, otherwise bmw will try to find ANY little excuse to void your warranty.
Plan on doing this as soon as the 530i is out of warranty (09/2009) to the tranny and diff.

I would recommend Redline fluid -- they make good stuff for diffs and trans. I am planning on doing mine soon as well since I don't believe the "life-time" BS. I used Redline on the 330i I had previously and several other cars.
