u need to use the 3M double side tape with the red stuff on it. It will not come off. Make sure you use prepsol or 1:1 alcohol:water to clean

Actually, there's a normal 3M double sided tape with red backing as well.

Yah, not sure what's going on there. To be honest, when mine was installed, we didn't even carry out all the "appropriate" right steps like cleaning it well, etc. Literally took a towel, wiped off the dust, and taped it on, lol.

Well
Yes I tried 4 types of diferent tapes. Last attempt was with tape bought from BMW. Tape thay used to fit it.
So it should work. But its not working!!!
Im not an idiot, Im am an engeener, and Im doing everything right, why this crappy spoiler is still lifting after couple weeks of driving??
I red somewhere that these tapes cure 72hours.
After 20 minutes its 50% cured, after 24h 95% and after 72h 100%.
So after couple days it should be ok. I left my car for three days in full sun( which should make it even better an stronger according to 3m)
It was fine for two weeks, and now it started lifting again.
Its very warm now and it looks that when it is hotter its getting soft- why?? It supposed to be cured already after couple weeks.
I lost my faith.

Will have to scrap it , have enought of it...

Ps. Bodyshop tried to glue it with tiger seal glue. Thay said it will never let go... Guess what, it fall of the very next day. Glue sticked to my car but didnt want to hold to spoiler.
When I use tape , it stay on a spoiler and dont hold to my car.
Anyone smart out there to explain??

There is no rule for this, if it stays on Your car - you are really lucky!!

It is possible that you bought a slightly flawed spoiler, and that could be the reason! It shouldn't be that difficult to mount a spoiler...perhaps also it's in the wrong spot on the trunk lid? I would guess that if it were in the wrong position, it COULD end up lifting as the curves are quite complex on the trunk lid and the spoiler must PERFECTLY match the contour to sit flush! Good luck should you try again!

+1. I have the OEM spoiler as well and it's been on my trunk since day 1 with the supplied 3M tape (red protective strip). However, instead of using alcohol or solvent to prep the surface, I clay bar'd it pretty good to make sure all the wax was off and it's smooth to the touch.
