Some m5board members started discussing the how-to of DIY HUD adjustment. Then Turner Motorsports posted this link to a photo/word how-to. I may give it a try soon

Glad u did that. I wanted to but its so hard to do much on my 28.8k constantly dropping dial up system at home. Have a Satellite internet (Wild Blue) install scheduled for next week. As Long as he can find a hole in my old Oaks I should be all set next Friday with HIGH speed (1m down, 200k up) whoo hoo

Where you will be doing the adjustments is not where the graphics are produced or reflected, so no real issue with dust and no issue with warranty. It is not like there is a seal on the dashboard that say do not break or void warranty.

Hey cobradav -- how's the high-speed net access treating you?

Hey, it works pretty good. I am getting the claimed download speed of 1m/sec. My upload is right on claimed 200k/sec. Little delay due to the satellite 2 way path, but still far, far better than my 28.8. Can actually see graphics at home now and the lounge is WAY more fun at home now

I could use google earth for the first time so all and all I'm pleased. Still would have liked to get on a cable or DSL system for the even better performance, but this will do until one or the other comes along.

Glad you're happy with your bandwidth upgrade. Maybe someday you'll be able to surf as fast as me (http://forums.e60.net/index.php?s=&showtop...ndpost&p=170241) but hey, you're car is faster than mine -- we have to keep our priorities straight, right?

Thanks for posting and combining the links Cobradav and Rudy!

Have any of you tried this yet? I read the pdf that Rudy provided and for the height adjustment procedure, it says "Correct height adjustment by turning eccentric" What do they mean by "eccentric"?

And on the Turner Motorsport instructions, it says "...check the tilt with the cable..." What cable do they mean because there is no cable associated with the height adjustment, only the side-to-side adjustment.

Thanks in advance.

Tony
