It does have vanes, but to be honest I'm not sure if they're directional or straight? Does that make a big difference?
I'm just preparing myself for future brake repairs/replacement and found this: http://www.zeckhausen.com/how_to_pro...all_rotors.htm
The curved/directional vanes pump more air for better cooling. Probably more expensive as well.
My style of driving doesn't warrant exotic brakes, but, I do like the looks of drilled rotors.
Good job on the brake DIY. Thanks for sharing your efforts!

I would never suggest replacing the rotors without replacing the pads at the same time. Never crack the bleeder screw when doing a rotor/ pad install. All you will do is chance letting air into the system for no reason, the caliper will push back if you use a clamp to push it in.

Great DIY.

You can. But you have to bleed the system later on. It'll also avoid pushing old brake fluid back into the ABS sytem.

Great DIY.
Just curious, why not? The pads look fairly new - almost as if the rotors were either not replaced, or just warped very early. I don't see why this is a problem?
