Disconnecting the battery?

My Ride: 2004 530i, Silver Gray, Premium Pkg, Cold Weather package, Black Leather seats with lumbar support, Poplar wood finish.
Mods: M6 19" wheels with 245/35/19 Front Tires 275/30/19 Rear Tires, K&N Filter, H&R Sway bars, Magnaflow Muffler, Sprint Booster, Black front grill, M-tech front bumper, Debadged
I have an early E60 - 530i production Sept'03 and I am planning to do some mods that will require disconnecting the -ve terminal of the Battery.
I am wondering what issues I may face doing so e.g. which settings will get reset in the i-drive and if I will end up at a dealer, etc.
Attached is a SB I found on this site about battery disconnection impacts .. it talks about a lot of possible things being reset.
I was wondering if someone with a similar production date model can share their experience.

Only thing that happened to me was I had a Active Steering Malfunction. But by following the AS Reset procedure, everything was okay 
And far as a new battery needing "coding" bullshit, bmw just trying to make a few $ of innocent customers. (as long as the battery is same spec)
