I have major condensation in the eyebrows of my left headlight, it's really bad, the moment it rains, the eyebrows get's filled with droplets of water all the way to the top.

Aside from buying a new headlight assembly costing at least $1,400, is there a safe way to disassemble everything, clean it all out and reseal it?

Many thanks in advance, this thing is really bothering me.

Cheers.

You have to cut it open if you want to disasemble it. There is no other way to open it.

Thanks guys, from your experience...how can water/moister get into the eyebrows to begin with? I know there is a plastic harness around the headlights, I can remove that first to conceal the crack or break that brings in moisture and then seal it with an all weather sealer or something?

I guess I have to use something like a vacuum cleaner to suck out all the water from the headlight, seal everything then place the bracket back in.

I will post some pictures tomorrow.

If you can find it, that is a great way to do it.

Take it out and inspect it. Contemplate how water could get into the eyebrow portion...what entry points does it have on a completely sealed lens?
Take a vaccum to take out the moisture, clean with alcohol and then reseal the possible entry points with some clear silicone.

The moisture can get into the eyebrow section through the plug where the power wire is connected.

There you go! Vaccum the head light thoroughly and then take some black RTV sealant and then seal up the plug where the wire is.
