One more thing do we need MoS2 Anti Friction Additive For Gear.

The result:

Fresh oil,SAF-XO, Left, Drained oil, right (Redline 75W-90, after 1,500 miles).

SAF-XO is the recommended fluid, and additive is not required for stock open diff and Quaife LSD upgrade (excl. M5).

Castrol SAF-XO 75w-90 BMW part # 83-22-0-002-094 @ $15.03 ($13.53 with BMWCCA discount) per HALF liter.
Bring your own clean containers, dealer has them in 50 gallon container. My differential uses about 1.6 liters per service.
Don't forget to get the screw plug with O-ring, PN 33-11-7-525-064 $4.87 ea ($4.38 w/ discount).
