Its really not that hard when you have a set off the car too paint. These are 545i ones I'll be using in the near future!

First I used a lot of degreaser, scrub brush and steel brush and Brake cleaner. i went to Kragen this morning and picked up some painters tape and a can of Silver Caliper Paint I have done 1 light coat waited 10 then waited an hour etc..this is what I have so far...I will wait until tomorrow for another coat. Also I taped off the rubber seals and all machined areas like where the carrier bolts too

Red looks AMAZING! Trust me. I was debating between black and red and I thought that red would look a tad ricey and too gaudy but the looks PERFECT. Not too gaudy and not too hidden.

I will post pics tomorrow so you can see

I used spray paint. (Dupli Color Caliper Paint with Ceramic)

I sanded the Calipers with a REALLY REALLY rough sand paper. It was an adapter that you put on a drill. I then went over it again with a fine sandpaper to smooth everything out. Then I wiped everything down with a rag. After that I started spray painting. I started with one very light coat. If the paint starts running on a minute scale then don't worry about it. Just wait till it dries and do another coat. You do not have to cover the entire caliper with the first coat. It's okay if the metal is still showing after the 1st to 2nd coat. I did 6 coats with 8-12 minute pauses in between. Then I did a 7th coat where I just went crazy and shook the can from side to side and far away to put a REALLY light coat on it to finish it off.
Hope this helps. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions.

Oh and by the way, I didn't remove my calipers. I just covered the surrounding area with trash bags and blue painters tape.
