i just follow the instruction, which is posted on this site however i could listen short time music from my iphone without control screen for iphone on

idrive. than i tried another way, which comming with original dension box instruction. dip stick set up is 1 and 2 are up and ohters are down. after that idrive

screen said that cannot found drive or device (somthing like that) so I reinstalled cdc with cd and tried to cdc then it's working. I tried to several times but

Same boat here. Any suggestions? I've tried to reset the Dension a few times yet it doesn't recognize it. I have MP3/text. DIP switches set 1 and 2 up and the rest down. Both my iPhone and iPod show a charge when hooked up. Any suggestions?

Thanks BlaSTiWi.

Dension Gateway 500 MOST iPOD USB GW51MO2. Would the update/software need to be updated? I assumed it shipped with the most up to date software. I'll try to switch 6 up and see what I get. At the sake of sounding ignorant, if the iPod is charging when its connected that means all the wiring is set up correctly?

Wired setup correctly in term of simply give proper +/- (obviously if you reverse it it'll damage the Dension or at least blow the fuse) supply into GW500 then it'll charge any iPod device but doesn't mean it functioning since the control of GW500 is on the fiber MOST line.

Just think that if you use Apple provided USB cable if you hook it up to computer + iTunes you have full control (charge, function, xfer and all) to it but the same cable if you hook it up to the Apple provided wall adapter plug it just simply charge.

moving the 6th DIP up didn't do the trick. I was able to get the iPod to play after switching the 1 stick down, only leaving #2 up. I don't have text, which is odd to me. I assume that everything is hooked up correctly because I get the iPod to play, however, there is no text. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Does this mean that it needs to be programmed by the dealer?

Also, I see that most successful installations show ">Root>iPod'name of iPod'." I don't have that either. It just shows which CD # I've selected, e.g. CD1, then the CD wheel (user interface) shows 1-99. If I select a playlist on my iPod I can then scroll through the songs using the iDrive wheel. I appreciate any thoughts/suggestions.
