Just getting opinions here

Love the beige interior of my car

Do not like the dirt on it int he winter

changed to winter floor mats - are a little darker and hide the dirt well

but the dead pedal is still beige and looks horrible no matter how much I clean it

so - was looking on ebay and saw a guy that sells aluminum pedal sets with rubber strips on them - lables ACS or //M - and you get a complete set for all the pedals - I do not think I would cahnge all of my pedals but condsidering getting a set to cover the dead pedal

so my quesitons are

anyone do this?

if so do the just screw in on top of the old pedal ( and if you replace all the pedals how do you attach?)

I had the same thought ... that beige dead pedal gets ugly real quick in the winter.

Here's an M-Foot Rest (Black) ... (item #6) = Foot Rest. Not sure by this diagram ... but I'm guessing that it snaps into place.

I've purchased that ACS set on the eBay and will install them this couple of days. I will post some pictures after I've done.

Tachyon just a quick note if you decide to buy and install the M deadpedal, you need to remove the old one that is glued in place to the carpet yes it's true it's glued to the carpet! you would have to lift ( break ) the side part ( facing you brake pedal ) of your old footrest so you can cut with a boxcutter the glue that holds it in place to be able to remove it ( i wonder who had that idea ) it's a real pain in the #ss to replace. and then you would have to hot glue the new M pedal back in place

It will look great when your done but it is a pain in the #ss to do! Let me know if you need any help and i will give you more detailed information.

yes it's true it's glued to the carpet!
Glued! Yikes, that does sound like a lot of work ... no thanks.

Would the same apply to the aluminum foot rest too?

If you get an aftermarket deadpedal you just have to screw it on to your existing deadpedal much easier!

Yeah in my opinion it's really stupid that they would glue the original footrest to the carpet and then offer an M deadpedal as an replacement option for you to buy and install

Oh well it took me some time to install it but i love the result

Hi dgjk,

I've just installed the dead pedal and the gas pedal. It's very easier for both of them, just drill/screw directly onto the existing PLASTIC pedals. The gas pedal is almost a perfect fit but the deal pedal is about 80% of the size of the original one so you'll have to put it on a position by your TASTE and fix it on the old one.

As for the brake pedal, it's really a pain to install because you'll have to drill through the existing very thick STEEL plate (4 times). It took me about 15 minutes to drill 1 hole and my hand is already so sore that I don't want to finish it tonight.

I left the camera's USB cable at my office so I cannot post any pics tonight but I'll do that tomorrow.

Thanks Bambi

As far as the hamman set in the pictures - is the dead pedal the full size or 80% like the one's that Bambi installed
and does the hamman set just screw on also?
