Hi..I'm a newbie. Very good DIY write up. Done mine but having problem with the climate control trim. Does anyone know how to detach the lower wood trim (mine is wood) from the upper climate control trim. Couldn't figure how to do it unless breaking the tabs. Thanks.

sorry to bump this I am trying to remove the trim where the idive is on my 04 BMW I get the screws off either side of the gear stick I get the I drive wheel off no problem and the until becomes very loose however where the menu button is it is rock solid and I cannot get it loose at all. Am I missing something?
