the only "cold air intake" that works is ONLY for turbocharged cars WITH intercoolers. otherwise, ur running a HOT AIR intake. the true cold air intake is DINAN's intake. dual ducts but honestly, just save some money. u dont need those 5 extra whp. save the money for an ECU remap instead. Get a K&N drop in or similar and an RPI scoop.

performance and CAI unfortunately go hand in hand. There are a few threads regarding CAI's and their proven loss of hp's. If you really want to gain some performance, stick with the stock air box and get a higher quality drop in air filter. You should also look into purchasing an air scoop by RPI.

A quick search under RPI air scoop and AFE CAI will get you more info...GL with you mod choices

+1 best setup would be the RPI ram air scoop and an aftermarket air filter for our e60s

You can PM Nerweezy or Trinity Autosport.
Trinity is a very reputable vendor here on our forum and an authorized RPi dealer.

Get them from Trinity. I have them in my 525 and I even notice performance with them. I would go with the red ones though, I wish I would have bought the red one instead of black.
