My Ride: 550i SMG, HUD, Cold Weather/Sport Package, Mtech front bumper, Oem M5 rear bumper, V1 Concealed, RPI Scoop, 6000K HID both Fog and Headlight, M5 mirrors, LED interior lighting, M5 SMG Shift Knob, Eisenmann Sport Exhaust Quad Pipe, 30% Tint, Sprint B

For those who have installed coilovers how far down should your front kw struts go into the wheel hub collar? Below are pics of currently where my struts sit. Note my car is lifted on jack stands when I took pictures.Reason I ask is that my wheels are touching the purple adjustable spring perch even with a 5mm spacer.

the shock body of your new coilovers are shorter in design. basically that gold sleeve stops the shock from going in any lower...
are your wheels oem or after market.
the kw instruction manual states that spacers would be needed to fit a stock wheel if you use their kits.

Thanks for the reply twidge. I ordered a set of 10 mm spacers. I test fitted two 5mm spacers on one side and it gave me enough clearance. I have set of MORR wheels 9 width et22.
