Hi, I am a newbie just started coding yesterday,

I installed NCSExpert 3.1.0 and it works fine with reading/writing ECU modules except the fact that CAPPL is missing.

When I press F4 or click "Process ECU", it lists up many modules but there's simply no CAPPL module.
I could find a few variables like "MDrive" in CIC module instead though.

I am typically interested in VIDEO_DENY_C0B and LEGAL_DISCL can't find them in other modules.

Can anybody tell me where I should look at instead,
Or is there any way like updating daten files to v40?

Best regards,

Yes, I have navigation and I don't have MASK module either.

Actually I tried to read every other module but couldn't find some variables supposed to be in CAPPL like LEGAL_DISCL/VIDEO..C0B,
Is this because I am using outdated daten files or the car has newer ECU?

For 2009 I think you have CIC not CCC.

Yeah seems to be outdated... you may need to update your daten files ...

That is correct, 2009 will have CIC and not CAPPL. I just coded one two weeks ago.

Sorry to bother you again, perhaps I'm asking stupid questions but; then is it possible to code "VIDEO WHILE DRIVING" and "KILL THE LEGAL MESSAGE" with newer CIC module?

I think in your case it should be within the CIC module 'cuz car equiped w/ Navi will only have CAPPL module and one w/o Navi will only have MASK module.
Mine in the MASK module since I don't have Navi and got the DISCLAIMER turned off.

Try to read the CIC module and post up the trace (.TRC) file.

Thanks, I attached the trace file from reading CIC module, not modified.

Yes, you can disable the disclaimer, however, the video while driving entries are very different for the new CIC's, so that I haven't figured out yet.
