It's similar to some cabinet doors where you press to close, then press again to release. Try it, you'll see .

Last night I removed the ash tray trim piece by following these instructions. Those 2 back screws are a PAIN IN THE A$$ to get out. They are very tightly secured, and required a lot of work just to break loose.

Matter of fact, I used the #20 torx bit duct taped in some needle nose pliers to get them out. -My Allen wrenches would not work.

I also tried winding back that spring but it was to weak to hold up the outlet, so I did replace the whole unit with Part #51167034087
