I'm considering the CIC retrofit and trying to get all the parts together. I have done a complete NAV retrofit into a 1998 740iL, so am not a complete virgin.

I thought I could just get a center console fascia from a 2009 530iXT which already had the "new" iDrive Controller cut out. It appears this might not work in a pre-LCI 2006 530iXT with BT, BMW Assist, 0633 Professional Radio, SIRIUS, non-NAV). I have access to a 2009 donor car with front end damage.

1. Can I use a 2009 535iXT center console ?
2. " " 2009 535 AC/Heat Controller?
3. Will I need a new AMP, and would a Harmon Kardon amp help (2009)
4. Any other parts I should scavenge (there is a price involved)

I'm reviewing the various CIC retrofit threads just sometimes the information conflicts and things may have changed...
