I took the car for software upgrade
It took him only 1 hour to finish it
New software version is 42.0.0
He did the upgrade on line
Found out that rain sensor is busted
He adviced me not to change it
According to your experience , is 1 hr enough?
Is this the new software version?
Do I need to do anything else ?

did you see any difference in the navigation screen ? is it still brown color or its' gray now ..

if he used ICOM or OPS , CCC takes about 20 to 30 minutes to update by MOST , so not sure if 1 hours will be enough to update the full car ...

do you have MP3 enabled in your car before the update ,,if NO , then try to play an MP3 CD from the single CD player.

i had MP3 capacity before , the car is Dubai specs , the dealer in Riyadh was surprised to see MP3/DVD Audio/NAV in 1 single slot
the car made is 03.2006 and comes with push button ignition .
i called the dealer and he assured me that the reading on the computer says the upgrade was successful in 13.09.2011 and software version is 42.0.0 , everything was automatized and done remotely by BMW , I watching the whole thing myself.
isn't this the newest software ?

I hope you're not bored of me by now
Went this morning to Dealer
He said he used ICOM and POS together to save time
Display is 6.5 inch , NAV is Business
Could it be the reason?
