Thanks a lot. Those M5 mirrors can be nice, according the long time to install them. The M5 mirrors change the look.

Hi,
I wanted to retrofit those LEDs under the original mirrors. I bought some mirrors with those LEDs and took the original wire for that and pinned it into the original places in the connector.
Didn?t work. No lights on.
I removed the wire and put in the original. Now my mirror (drivers side) don?t fold.
Ohoh....
Has anyone replaced M5 Mirrors with LED and had no LED before?
Is there any trick for initializing the mirrors? My mirror is irritated and does not what he supposed to be.

HELP!!!!

On a similar subject, some.. wit, in a van, clipped my door mirror this afternoon and it has broken the body coloured plastic back.

I understand I can get this part as a replacement, it looks like the old plastic back of mirror just pulls off and the new one will 'push clip' into place, is this right?

If esach member donate me $5 and once I've enough, I'd do it
Fred, as of 11/8/06 there are 7,763 members. $5 from each of us will get you $38,815. With that deal you can trade in your 550 and get M5 mirrors that come with the rest of the M5

My M5 mirror testing project almost comes to completion. Functional wise, it's 80% successful except folding function. Once I have window switch cluster with mirror folding switch, I'd test for it. It should be done this weekend.

Thanks to BlackonBlackonBlack who has lended me his M5 mirrors and the switch to test out on my car.

I have a little problem.

This plastic triangle where the little speakers are; I had to bend it to get to the 3 screws holding the mirror. Now it doesent get back to its old position. Its not cliped or something. How did you guys get it fit? Mine is sticking out a little because of bending.
