hey Guys,

I am trying to find out the easiest way to install a new region of the bmw software in my car. I will be taking my vehicle to China and want to use the I-drive and Navigation there in Chinese.

Any insight on how to go about this? I have all the tools (coding cables and etc) available to me (even the ones bmw have too, my friend who is a tech is not positive what to do with them), Right now I am located in the US (NY)

A t current:
I have been scouring (what feels like) the entire internet (its been a few weeks since embarking). And I have so far come to the conclusion of two things

1. I know this is possible there is one person that can do it and made it his little trade secret

2. Guys at bmw wont touch my car with a mile long stick. (I think I may be able to code better than them)

So alas I have turned to posting for help, any help would really be appreciated
thank you in advance

p.s. once I am done I will be writing up a how-to for everyone so they don't have to go through this
