changing bulbs of the rear lights

anyone managed to do that, or is it a case for the dealer? hate to drive just to have the bulb changed. i did not see any obvious access to the bulbs on this car, maybe it is trickier. anyone tried?

Do you have your manual handy? Changing these bulbs is a very easy process that's outlined in the "replacing components" section of the owner's manual (it may be called something different in your manual but I'm pretty sure you'll find it...)

Its super easy.

If you look in the trunk of your car, you'll see two black inserts on the left or right side of your trunk.

Those pieces can come off once you take those two plastic black inserts off.


And once those are off, you can access your battery, fuses, bluetooth modules, radio modules, taillights, etc...

sorry, but i am talking about an e61 with the bulbs that are integrated in the laggage compartment door. if i open the cover there, there seems to be another cover with screws. would that do me any good trying to open all 8-10 screws there? did not do it earlier becuase it is -5 degrees celcius out there....

Again, the owner's manual covers how to do this. If you don't have one, let me know and I'll post futher instructions tonight...

Rudy, my user manual says that I need to pay my stealer a visit - remember we are talking about the reverse lights that are integrated in the luggage compartment door...
