ok i know you can open all the windows and sunroof with the key by holding the unlock button but how do you make it so i can close all the windows when i hold the lock button?

Are you in the US or Canada? If so, you can't do it...

im from the US but your saying we cant do it? is it a chip or something i have to buy from UK or whatever?

US: key in lock, turn and hold (as if locking car) will close windows & sunroof.

We can't do it in the USA without putting the key in the keyhole (or holding the door handle if you have comfort access...)

Unfortunately, I don't believe there's any easy "hack" to make this work.

I just tried it on my car and and both close and open the windows by the key

Right, because you're not in the USA, you're in Sweden. Over here, the government sends out a jamming signal that prevents all BMW cars from being able to close the roof and windows remotely since we're all too stupid and/or "sue happy" to be allowed to do such a thing.

I believe that's how it works in the US too (using the key turn and hold to the front for global up and turn and hold towards the rear for global down. What we can't do here in the US is press and hold the lock button to global close...however, we can press and hold the unlock button and have the global open (sunroof included). Too bad our gov't thinks we can't handle such responsibility
