You've done pretty well to get that lot running but your version of Progman seems too original. In theory the E60/E61 should not be programmed via the OBD2 socket. There's too much data and too great a risk of a problem. They should be coded via a fibre optic head connection which is what the software is saying.
I'm not 100% on this but I think a tweak is needed to the database behind Progman to allow OBD2 coding on the E60/E61.

Did you ever get an answer to your Question? I had this problem with V41 but in V32 it bypasses this and gives me an unknown data status prior to going into CKM settings. However, it works on other BMWs fine. I think because I had the car updated with an ICOM/A makes the car incompatible with the OBDII plug. You can update the car via OBD no problem actually. ICOM is really an OBD port hooked up to a WIFI chip with an internal harddrive which feeds back to the server...in a sense it is a client. You may be able to change a few settings in the VM to get this to work properly. PM me to discuss. You have to take baby steps and log everything you are doing and back out of changes....somewhat tedious for the non-programmer.
