I just put new front rotors and pads on. I'm using StopTech's new Sport Performance pads for the E60. So far, so good. Feels about the same as stock, less dust, no noise. Stopping power is better when you really need it. Gone is the "Oh.. <expletive> am I going to stop?" feeling that you can get with worn pads. Maybe it is just having new pads, when I jam on them those things STOP the car. I'm impressed. For normal driving I'd say there is very little difference (with any diff being a positive). I got these pads because they're suitable for light track use.

I have about 1000 miles on my semi metallic Posi-quiet pads from Trinity. Very smooth braking. No noticeable difference in stopping power. Can't say on the dust yet. I replaced the rotors with OEM. Overall, I'm happy. I just haven't gotten my parking brake adjusted right yet. It is virtually impossible to turn the adjuster screw through a lug hole...

^Lol, what the. How do you mean you can't really say on the dust yet if you've already put 1000 miles on it?

I drive a hundred or two, and my wheels are dirty as hell. Part of the reason why I try to wash my car weekly, lol.

I drive all highway miles so I think it's hard to say. I've been watching all week and there is definitely less dust than OEM pads.
