Anyone install their Roof Spoiler on their own?

Has anyone installed their roof spoiler on their own? If so, what was the exact method you used for mounting it, so it was centered? Did it require 2 people? Lastly, which adhesive tape did you use? I was thinking of going with this one: http://officesupplieslane.com/mmm4010.html


My roof spoiler is being painted and I'll be mounting it tomorrow.

Which brand roof spoiler are you going to mount? Does this match to the curve of the glass perfect, or, when you push the left spoiler's edge down to the glass, then, the right side tends upwards?

Yeh, that's my worry with adhesive mounted parts, gonna fly off when you go faster than 60mph. Anyone here ever seen that video of a white Mitsubishi Eclipse lose it's "fighter" style spoiler in a race?

Are you? Fantastic5 used this on his roof spoiler and it works perfect. The body shop today said it would work well too. Said 3M Industrial makes the strongest stuff on the market. Said to heat up the tape a bit, due to the cold weather here, scuff up the underside a bit for better grip and mount. Said it would be fine. I'm just curious how people mounted it physically. Is it a 1 person job/2 person job?

Hey Nick - do you have a roof spoiler? I know this picture doesn't have one, but know you've done a ton of mods.

Mine holds fine and it uses that 3m tape stuff. No problems. And yes I occasionally go 125mph

I'll be glad to give you a hand if I'm free although I'm no expert seeing as my body shop did mine for me. They said they used only the double sided tape. Solid as a rock. Haven't gone faster than 110 or so, but I don't think it's going anywhere
