Hi all,
I am really interested in having the alarm feature.
What I got recently is the following:
1) The interior ultrasonic sensor
2) The hood switch
3) The siren
4) Going to get the autio dipping mirror with Clown nose
Now I am wondering if by plugging all those in will give me the alarm feature?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

i would imagine it will need coding, almost every thing on these cars is either monitored and/or controlled by a computer module of some description

Thanks Blood,
I tired to plug in the Ultrasonic sensor but couldn't find the pre wired cable in the headliner... =(
Now my next question is : even if there's no alarm feature, I would like to get the clown nose blinking. Is that possible? Anyone knows?
=)
Thanks

Hi.
If you buy the oem wire-set for the alarm retrofit and plug in the mirror, sensor and siren, the clown nose blinks when the car is locked. The alarm won't be functional before the coding has been done, but the clown nose will.
I retrofitted alarm to my E60...
Tommy.

Hi Tommy, Sorry for the late response. I am just starting to navigate properly around this forum these 2 days and start finding my own topics back.
I can't find the OEM wire set in realoem.com. Do you happen to have part number?
I would expect the following:
1) hood switch cable
2) Siren cable in rear wheel fender
3) wire loom in headliner
I don't quite understand coding... Do I just step into the dealership and say "I have retrofitted alarm and can you code it? And how much?
Thanks a lot!!!
