GREAT. I finally find some information. I have had my 550i for two weeks and have been waiting to start the build. I have some questions if you do not mind?

* The fronts. I have been staring at the door panel to see if I can fit a real mid. 5 1/4" or 6 1/2". The contour seems to get in the way. Do the RVF-210 work will?

* Did you just install new 8" subs and an amp? Did you install the subs in the same enclosure? Did you line it with Dynamat or other damping material? What LOC did you use? Did you think about Cleansweep? I can not handle the muddy bass of the stock.

I am coming from a car that had QSD 216's, Zapco amps, and Image Dynamics subs. I need to upgrade!

Only xxx-210 (4") will fit.
I replaced stock subs with SWS-8 and use infinity amp (crap) to drive all speakers. No enclose, dynamat at all.
LOC was bought from Kragen $15 with adjustable function.
The problem is headunit is a crap and you might experience some noise.

FWIW I talked to a guy at Bavarian Sound in Atlanta. They have a Morel 4" that bolts into the factory locations. Nice driver, that Morel. I'm going to do kicks in mine. Leave factory stuff alone. Custom mount midbass in doors.

Thanks for the reply. What wires did you tap for the subs? I saw it once some where but can not find it now.

i have a set of morel elates brand new in box original everything never installed in platic and in new conditions, they are Morel elates component that retail for well over $1100
