It's tough working on a bimmer thats for sure. So many issues in trying to get this set up, i'm still not done but almost there, i have to tune it since im running an active set up.

Ya, It's not bimmer in general that are hard to work on its E60's, I had a E46 M3 all tricked out and it was sooo much easier to do the setup as I do everything myself. My indash is the kenwood DDX7019, plus I bought the seperate Nav unit for $400. The Whole thing came out to be like $1,050 roughly.

Yes, Eugene 100% agreed i had a 3 series that i had fixed up as well, i think its any car that has an Idrive that causes a lot of problems.
I'm running 2 12" soundsplinters firiging through center and 3 way CDT competiton Gold components , alpine pxa h701 processor, Alpine PDX amps and an old school PPI arts A404, an apine TME 740bt screen and the Alpine pro hub with controller not pictured at all yet!

THe original head unit was relocated underneath the steering colum, I had to keep it plugged in as the I-drive is running thru it and will not work without. So there are no errors and since its still plugged in and there are no problems as Im using all aftermarket amps. I bypass all of the speaker leads and wires, as new wires were ran to each speaker.

Let me know how it all sounds. Im running the following:

2 - 10? ALPHASONIK 800 COMPETITION SERIES SUBWOOFERS 800 Watts RMS each Powered by a Alphasonik PMA2500A 2 Channel Pushing 800 watts RMS at 2 Ohms. The interiors I have Alphasonik 4" Alphasonik Competition components, 2 3" Beyma Tweeters. I've replaced the factory subwoofes that are undrneath the front seats with 6.5" Alphasonik Loud Speakers, and in the back deck I retro Fitted a set of 6.5 Alphasok Competition components, all powered by the Alphasonik PMA640HCA, which is pushing 290 watts RMS per channel at 2 OHms. Everything is wire thru the Alphasonik PEQ20XL processor and wired up with Tsunami wiring. THe system is so lound that when the radio is on volume 24 it feels like your ears are gonna bleed, and the system goes to max volume of 35. Dont even wanna know how loud that its.

Dumb question time. What do you use to "make" custom enclosures like that, in order to get such a perfect finish?? I tried making something on a small scale out of "filler" and it looked sh!t...

With Mine, I made the skeleton out of MDF and covered it and molded it with bondo, then sanded the living crap out of it to make it perfectly smooth. Primed it then sanded the primer and painted it.
