while it might be a little more work, you could tap into a puddle lamp of a side view mirror, if you have one. that should work, right?

If you tap into the footwell light or any other interior light, it will come on. Mine does, my personal opinion, I like it, turns on when you open your door, lock, and unlock

Unless u use a relay. thats only to prevent the lights not to turn on when opening your door with your ignition on.

So we unlock the car, these AE come on as the interior, and how about when we get in the car or turn on the ignition and turn on the lights to drive at night, does it also mean that when the interior lights are off then those AE must be off too ?

When you unlock the car, the AE will turn on, as will your interiors. If you do not further wire your AE to a live connection, then your AE is turned on normally like before, parking light or low beams.

Having the interior lights off does not mean the AE cannot be off, that's why you have the diode in place.

Just a thought guys, would it it be possible to make HID fogs start up with ignition. I was thinking of running a seperate wire with a diode from cig lighter to the fogs. Would this work?
