I just bout a black 06 530xi wagon, installed m-tech kit, need wheels and springs. I bought h&r front springs but I need to adjust/lower the rear air-suspension. Is this done manually or will it self level?? ? I need an answer asap, springs are staring at me. Need wheel help too, wish i could find LM reps with a higher offset..... thank you
terrible pic..i know

The rear axel height must/can be changed vith "programming", for example with DIS. It's not actually programming, but adjusting. Not a difficult task to do if you have the OBD cable and a suitable program.

When I had a Mercedes with air ride there were a few ways to lower it. One was go to the dealer and have them do the adjustment. Another was to buy and install an electronic lowering module. The third and probably the best for you is to buy a lowering link, or modify the one you have. On most auto-leveling air ride systems there is a sensor mounted that electronically monitors the height of the vehicle. When that height is too low, it pumps air and vice versa. What you need to do is make the car think the ride is too high (when it actually isn't) so it will release more air, usually this is done through installing longer sensor links. I am not familiar with BMW air suspension technology, so this may or may not apply.
