I did read it carefully. He stated "I do not want to go through the trouble of going straight to the battery and having to turn accessory on and off manually." He was looking for a switched circuit so he would not have to turn it off manually. He was looking for a circuit in the "Glove box". That is why I chose to inform him about the one that I did. I further indicated that it was "always hot". Therefore he has to switch it manualy.

Regards the phone in the glove box. The circuit is always hot. The phone times out (not the circuit) at a predetermined time i.e. one hour. I have my phone set to never time out.

NEW IDEA: If you have the flashlight in your glove box, you can buy an adapter that plugs into the socket where the flashlight goes. It has a cigarette type fitting on the other end. It will save you the trouble of wiring. It is however on a timed circuit so you may have to manually turn the device on and off. It is available at the dealer for about $15.00 or from Bavauto.

Everyone, we have a winner. The add a circuit works. I used the fuse slot for the CD changer. The beauty of it is that it shuts the unit off when you turn ignition off. The only hiccup was grounding the darn thing in a location that didn't cause noise. It was an awesome $7.99 solution that took about 20 minutes to do. Thanks for everyone's input.

I also need an ignition switched 12V circuit to power my Laser Interceptor... somewhere in the glove box area.

I tried tapping into the same 12V line that the CDC and Dension (I installed some time ago) use but that seems to be always hot. I guess the Dension is smart and will turn itself off when the bus dictates it. So that won't work since the LI is not on the bus.

What other circuit exists in the glove box area that is switched? The passenger footwell power outlet?

Thanks!
