il have to get a picture from my brother ,lives some distance away though. car is a 2008 lci model . as for condensation sensor how do i mount it behind the mirror as there is already the rain sensor there but the rest of the area around the sensor is blacked out

 

I suspect he has the basic IHKA which didnt have any extra sensors. If you split the black cover open you will theres ana empty black space below the mirror support, it sits just there.

 

asked for you help on this one (but think ive managed the vo coding ,was trying to code the ihka but im now sure its the cas and the lma that has to have the vo added to ) well thats what i did anyway .

do i need to remove anything from the vo - for the basic ac unit .

changed dual to nichtactiv

changed solar sensor to activ

ordered the condensation sensor.

but i dont have any extra options in the nav screen ,sure ive seen somewhere that i should have.

also have 4/5 faults in the ihka unit ,got to check them out .

 

You need to update the VO then do a recode of the IHKA and CAPPL with the expert profile. you will get some errors because it`s trying to activate ventilation flaps that don`t exist.

 

il recode those in the morning (been busy all day helping the dog delivering puppies 6 maltese terriers )

some of these codes i dont think can be sorted as the parts dont exist
sensor heat exchanger left
sensor ventilation temprature
stratification fondpoti ???
water left valve
ventilation motor left
motor footwell right
ventilation motor fond
auc sensor

lot of errors there

also lost all my welcome lights ,drls etc even though there activated ?

 

Thats correct, you will loose any non standard coding when you use the expert profile because it resets the module according to your VO.

 

ok been at this all day , somewhere i must be doing something wrong , car definately has correct vo added . recode of the IHKA and CAPPL with the expert profile done
inpa still records 8 errors on the ihka ,also what seems related is error in dsc module along the lines of no communication with cas module.

still have no extra or different heating /cooling functions/screens available in idrive and ihka panel doesnt seem to work correctly, aircon is on every time ignition is on ,and button flashes for a few minutes and doesnt respond, aircon works though ,and its coded not to start with ncs .

still lost all drl,welcome lights ,come home lights etc. options available in idrive just dont work ,coded lma with blank .man file then edited settings again .

really annoying me now. shouldnt be hard to do but something obviously isnt right . just no idea what . if only days where 48 hours long id get more time to check it out .

 

cured the coding faults dont know if this has to be done every time you add to the vo ,but i had recoded the lma ,cappl etc with ncs and selected the cas module , i also had to recode via the lma module as well to get everything working again , just waiting on the other sensors now to complete the install

 

I did my car from Basic A? to AC High everything worked without a problem (I have not changed VO)
Today I changed it from AC High LCI AC High and stop work my AC-if the problem is that I have not changed VO
I've done LCI headlight Retrofit and bothers me to no loss of settings LM2.
