I have the same flip cap on my 535d...and i thought about making it stay open all the time, but also thinking: hey there must be a reason for the mounting of it. Not to just keep the noise down at low rpms maybe to have the engine warming up faster because of the backpressure? I dunno...
Anyway i have a question: kinda offpost, please tell me if i can install an aftermarket exhaust considering that my car has a particle filter?! What happens if you install a normal exhaustg that doesn't support the particle filter? 10x
