1) Order the SAT module and a mounting bracket if needed
2) Plug in the MOST/power adapter
3) plug in the aerial
4) Pay your dealer $50-$75 - hopefully to code the car to recognize the SAT.
I actually have a SAT module sitting on my work bench I think. Get a quote for what you will pay to buy a new one and I will sell you my used one for half that. I will plug it into my car to confirm that it works.
PM me if you are interested.

For me, installing bracket and plugging the unit in was only half the battle. The MOST hub also there in the trunk required some re-routing since SIRIUS is by default 'out of the loop'. There is an official PDF on this that I am currently unable to locate - ask your parts guys, they can print it out.

I still have the unit.
It is 65129119346 found here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...=65&fg=05&hl=9 Of course it shows there are newer models that replace this one but I checked my usual supplier and couldn't find any of them.
This came out of my 2007 530xi which I bought CPO. The module casing had some surface rust on it and when I complained that I was "worried" about it the dealer replaced it. Before it was replaced, I used it for a couple months with my Sirius subscription so there is nothing wrong with it.
You don't have enough posts for PMs to work yet.
