hey all, I have a 2006 M5 i want to detail. What do you think the best wax for making it look show car quality is? I want the paint to look like it is glowing! LOL.....it is the silverstone metallic. Also what do you think is the best cleaner for the black leather seats? I just want the car to look as new as possible.

Weclome aboard ... M5 ... nice!

Well, since you have a 2006 M5 it could probably use a full detail job by now ... wash, clay, polish, polish, polish, protect. Just putting on a good wax now will make it shine, but to get your paint to POP, you need to polish it.

I suggest you find a professional and you will be blown away with the results.

Where are you located? You can find some of the best detailers on Autopia. Good luck, and please post some pics when you get it done.

this is an easy answer...

Being an ex-Rejex and Meguiars user, it's called ZAINOOOOO!!! Tachyon got me hooked on this stuff and it's outstanding. Take a look at a few of the pix in my gallery. Keep in mind I have a Jet Black car too. If some of those pix don't sell you, I don't know what will. My car looks like it's wet all the time. It glows beyond belief! Get Zaino and think no further!

Better yet, here...take a look at this pic. I did a full detail with all my Zaino products the day before.

Zaino is amazing. Based on all the forum discussions about Zaino I tried it and will never go back. Using the Zaino polish over headlights, emblems, etc. makes the whole car shine better than new, and super easy to use.

Hi all,
got an 04 530 in Black Saphire and it has swirls etc.
Anybody know a good detailer on Long Island NY, that will do the Zanio???
Truth told would rather not spend an armand a leg since I am right near the ocean and would rather get it done more frequently.

I sure do, but they don't use Zaino. They use their own products. They are considered one of the top detail shops in the country. They're called Detailing Dynamics and they're in Mineola. They charge $65/hour. A job can take anywhere from 6-8 hours, depending on how bad the paint finish is. But I can tell you one thing is for sure....your car will look like NEW. They don't stop until every swirl, scratch and imperfection is gone. They are hands down the best. But they are VERY, VERY expensive. I just referred my in-laws to them. They went on Saturday and the next available appointment is June 18th! This is how good and busy they are. If you have a chance, you should go take a look at their shop. IT's probably the cleanest, most pristine detail shop you will ever walk into. You could eat off the floor, it's so clean!

Outside of that, there is 5 star car wash in E. Northport, off Jericho Turnpike. This is where Habberstad BMW sends all their customers. They can do a job for around $150-$200. They might even consider using your products (in this case, Zaino). However, if you're looking for your car to look like new, these guys would only be a temporary fix.
