Like everyone else, my rims become very dirty, very quickly with brake dust and smaller specks of tar?? (much harder to remove) . Any suggestions on which wheel cleaner works best? I have used several products and have not been very happy with the results.

+1 for P21s wheel gel
But they are expensive tho.......i may switch to bilberry safe wheel cleaner (acid free) after finishing off my P21s
? 20.00 for 5lts and can be dilute to 1:5 or upto 1:10 depends how dirts your wheels are.

My personal favorite is Turtle Wax Platinum All Wheel cleaner. I tired P21S, and while it was good, it wasn't worth the high price. The TW is thicker, safe and works better IMHO. And the best part is that it's about $6-$7/bottle.
"Thick gel-like formula clings to wheel & tire surfaces to quickly and easily remove brake dust and road grime from all wheels & tires. Specialty polymer additives help prevent brake dust build-up and make future cleaning easier. Rinses and dries spot free. No towel drying required. A high-performance cleaner/protector for coated, aluminum, ABS plastic, mag, wire, anodized and chrome wheels. Does not contain hydrofluoric or other strong acids that could damage wheels."

I have good results using a brand name auto soap and body brush when my wheels are cool and freshly waxed.
The commercial wheel cleaners are sometimes very harsh - I get nervous when the label instructions warn about washing it off in less than 15 seconds ... that tells me the liquid is very caustic.
Once every now and then my dealer will have a special on BMW spray cleaner for wheels and that will last me 6 months or more. It seems to work very well even on dirty wheels.

got to Costco and buy the spray on foam cleaner it soaks in and then you need to barely scrub with soapy water then rinse. Or 99 cent stores have awesome degreaser huge bottle for well you know lol. I have 2 bimmers and a lexus to maintain and that the quickest, least amount of effort.
