I got my CF mirror covers in the mail yesterday and I put them on and let the
sit over night with pressure on them and this morning they didn't really seem very tight. So I took them off. I am going to buy some more double sided tape and try to put them on again but I think I have to remove the wax first.

So what is the best way to remove the wax?

You wanna remove wax on mirrors only or the whole car?

These are the possible ways to remove wax:

Detailing clay
AIO polish (e.g Klasse, Zaino..etc)
Concentrated APC (All purpose cleaner)

I do not recommend clay or detergent as they can partially remove wax and detergent can possibly do damage to the paint.

Use a isopropyl rubbing alcohol wipedown then follow up with distilled water and the tape will stick the best.

Ok thanks for the replies everyone but I decided that the mirrors don't look that good after all....
