I have never tried, but I would only do it if the car was just dusty or just very lightly dirty. Nothing can beat a good water wash.

I have been detailing for a few years now. I noticed when i would clean cars with water the water pushes dirt into the car and you do not get it all. So when you go to scrub with any soaps your just moving the dirt around creating swirl marks and ruining the clear coat. I tried the Waterless Route a few times and i actually like it. It will work up for normal filth cars, but i would not use it if you were off roading and the car is full of mud. I got my bottle from mygreenkleen.com and i love it.

Best thing you could do is try it out and see for yourself.

Good Luck

I have been using the waterless car wash from Griots Garage for about six months with mixed results (www.griotsgarage.com). The Pros: (1) using the waterless car wash is about 100 times easier than doring the whole soap, bucket, and water routine; (2) if your car has not been out traversing the wildernes then the waterless system works wonders (i.e. no scratches, no swirl marks...I have a Black E60-trust me if this system was causing swirl marks I would know); (3) the stuff from Griots smells like coconuts (which makes my rum a coke seem that much better). Now for the Cons: (1) if your car really needs a good bath...stay the hell away from this stuff; (2) you'll need some really good towles and you'll go through a ton of them; (3) after using the waterless car wash stuff, my car seems to attract dust like a magnet (but that could be all the construction dirt here in Vegas).

In sum, I would definately give it a shot.
